Liuzhou owns another name---- Dragon City. It is an old city with 2,100-year history. Liuzou City lies in the center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,jurisdicting over counties such as Liujiang, Liucheng ,Rong'an, Rongshui and Sanjiang.The whole area is more than 5200 sq. km.s. Total population of the whole city is 1,750,000, 880,000.
　　Liuzhou is an important transportation hub and a regional economic center of the Southwest of China. It is not only the largest industrial base of Guangxi. The synthesized economic power of Liuzhou ranked the 27th of Chinese 50 tops in 1991. Its social economic development level  ranked the 18th of 187 cities in China. The gross domestic product in 1997 was 16.3billion yuan.
